Finding Him

This blog is just a easy window of hope and encouragement from my heart to yours for your every day life. I have my share of disappointments, fears and problems but the one thing I do have that can make life enjoyable, happy and full of love is my relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

About Me - My Story of Grace

I think we have all at one point in our lives felt we were not good enough, strong enough or smart enough. There is this whole misconception that to be a Christian you have to be perfect. Your idea of being perfect might be - not cursing, not drinking, not smoking, not having premarital sex, not gossiping, etc. But at the end of the day we all feel that we are not good enough to follow God. We think that our bad habits and past mistakes make us dirty in God's eyes.

I felt this way for a long time. Actually these thoughts were even stronger AFTER I became a Christian. If I slipped up and sinned I felt like the worst Christian in the world. I would feel too ashamed to pray or even seek God after committing a sin I knew was wrong in the first place. I battled with being perfect for the first few years of my walk with God. I was never able to just rest in Him, to feel His forgiveness. It was so relieving when I began to learn that God loved me fully before I became a Christian. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us". Romans 5:8. I fully encourage everyone whatever problem or setback they might be facing to seek God's Word. It is full of truth that will set you free. The more I read the Bible and started to understand God's love and mercy for me, the more I was able to relax, enjoy life and not be stressed out all the time trying to be a serious Christian.

Jesus was our example on Earth. God in human form - the Son of the Almighty. He spent time with friends, was open and loving towards all kind of people, even on the cross He looked over and with blood on His brow and in His mouth spoke forgiveness. “Come now, and let us reason together,”says the Lord,“though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow". Isaiah 1:18

When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to His disciples, "Why is He eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners?" And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Mark 2:17.

So rest in God's caring and redeeming love for you. He wants you, just as you are. You are God's business. He calls us His children. Open yourself up and let Him cleanse you. Release that anxiety and worry of not being good enough, your God is perfect, you don't have to be.
